Do Not Call
The National Do Not Call Registry is managed by the Federal Trade Commission. Registering will stop most telemarketing calls. It will not stop calls from nonprofit organizations, political organizations and calls from people with whom you do business. You can register your residential telephone numbers, including wireless numbers, on the National Do-Not-Call Registry at no cost. You can register on the Internet at www.donotcall.gov
Do Not Mail
If you would like to receive less advertising mail at home, contact the Direct Marketing Association. They maintain a name removal file that is made available to companies to clean up their lists. Register online at: www.DirectMail.com/Junk_Mail
Improve Your Mail
If you don't mind getting offers relevant to you, you can sign up your preferences with Direct Marketing Association mail preference. The marketers prefer to send you mail that you're interested in.
